      • 1. Mouse droppings found behind front counter along kitchen and near take out window. Ensure these areas are cleaned and sanitized.2. Fruit flies found in basement. Contact pest control to help mitigate issue.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • The following taps were leaking:1. Single dish washing sink tap.2. Double dishwashing sink tap.3. Hand sink tap near dishwashing area. Repair4. The cold water tap handle on the two compartment sink is blocked by the chemical hose. Reposition or remove so that tap handle is accessible.

    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • The back door to the kitchen has a notable gap at the bottom which could allow for pests (e.g. mice, cockroaches, etc.) to enter the establishment.REQUIREMENT: Maintain the back door in good repair. Properly close the gap (e.g. with weatherstripping) to ensure pests cannot enter.
    • 17. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this food facility (Critical)?
      • The toilet paper in the staff washroom was not located in a suitable dispenser, allowing staff with possibly contaminated hands to handle all parts of the toilet roll.This concern was corrected during the inspection.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • The diaper change table in the upstairs men's washroom had a notable amount of dust and debris which indicates: 1) Infrequent checks to cleanliness, and 2) Table is infrequently cleaned and sanitized.REQUIREMENT: Ensure that all parts of the facility, including change tables, are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
