My husband and I spent 6 days at Bear Camp with the multi-sport package. The location is stunning with water views from all the tents. Everyday started with hot tea delivered to your tents and you had the choice to be as adventurous or chill as you wanted. We went hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, boating to Honeymoon Point and horseback riding. Meals are all chef-prepared and delicious! You’re also given snacks in between meals so you never go hungry. As a vegetarian, they had no problems catering to my diet. Overall, I had an amazing time and truly felt the staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and happy. These guys have mastered the art of hospitality and truly made us feel at home. Thank you so much Brian, Ashley, Grace, Whitney, Graeme, Sage and Travis

We took a 3 generations trip to Bear Camp and had an unforgettable experience. The location is sublime. The food is plentiful and gourmet. The activities are many, varied, and FUN - something for everyone no matter their age or ability. The owners, guides and chef are warm and welcoming. I truly have nothing bad to say - other than at some point you have to leave! (There were tears for sure!) We will definitely be back.

This is by far the best time I've ever had. I am a 58 year old women and have to say, I had an amazing time on the river with my raft guide son Jared. The stay at Roam - Camp Bear was wonderful, the tent (bed) was very comfortable, the food was amazing, the Chef Mandy is superb, she prepared us the best meals, very tasty and the wine was great.|The staff are super friendly and accommodating. We went fishing one day, the next we did some hiking and then we did our 4 day rafting trip. The raft guides Jared and Carlos were great, had tons of fun on the river and the camping on the river banks. Saw lots of bald eagles, birds, deer, black bear and one grizzly bear grazing near a hill. I recommend this trip to anyone that appreciates nature and all it's beauty she has to offer. This trip does not even come close to the all inclusive down south destinations vacations I used to take , just sitting the beach and drinking, bah! |Thank you Brian and Ashly for a wonderful experience and best time of my life!|Sandra Mutter

We came to watch brown bears during the salmon spawn. We did indeed see alot of bears, yet in some ways, the solid highway of charging fish was equally impressive. Such a privileged experience would have been in itself more than enough to justify traveling to this remote place. The competent, attentive Bear Camp staff and the "fellow traveler" atmosphere into which they welcomed us and other guests proved to be a highly appreciated bonus. I should mention that the food was incredibly good -- especially a seared tuna offering that would have done Vancouver's finest seafood restaruant proud.

Bear Camp is a awesome experience. I took my family with two teenagers and we loved all the activities, scenery and guides at the camp. Brian and Ashley are wonderful hosts. Gord, Whitney and Bob are awesome guides and made our trip fantastic. Luca and the Michelle's made dinner something to look forward too. You will eat really well at Bear Camp. The day hike to the top of Tullin was beautiful, horseback riding and the two days of rafting is a must. One stretch of whitewater for a solid hour is natures ultimate amusement ride. This is a great family. Our kids disconnected and got reconnected with the wild.

It is really just an incredibly dreamy place. Bears walking along the shore, bears swimming in the lake, bears hanging around checking out the scenery, bears munching on salmon everywhere. And you get to see all this from your choice of venue - your "tent", your kayak, your boat, your raft - so many great adventures to be had all while keeping an eye out for the bears. Wonderful staff and guides, great food and drink, terrific hospitality. Highly recommend - peak life experience.

This place is so unique - the safari tents built on the platforms provide a rustic experience, but with a king bed and beautiful wood furniture inside, you have all the comfort you need. Every tent has a perfect view of the lake, and there is a lovely big deck space for gathering in the evenings. The atmosphere is very social and fun, with happy hour drinks and snacks each day, and dinners done at a long table inside the main lodge/cabin. The coffee and tea delivered to our tent each morning was a great touch! While plenty of time to meet new people and get to know the owners, there is also ample time to relax and unwind on your own, chill on the deck, take the SUPs out for a morning paddle, or go for a nature walk. The activities were exceptional too - like a summer camp for adults! Loved the day out on the water, and the chance to hike along the shorefront. Wish we could have stayed longer! Can't wait for next time.

Enjoyed the spectacular Chilko Chilcotin Fraser River rafting trip with ROAM. The 8 day adventure included Class V Bidwell rapid followed by 18 miles of continuous Class IV rapids in Lava Canyon with wave after wave of rafting excitement. Also rafted the waves of the Gates of Mordor and Big John Canyon. Trip is located in the remote wilderness with canyons, hoodoos, pine trees, and glacial blue waters. Campsites have no other visitors besides ROAM guests. Dinners were delicious and filling, with dishes like grilled salmon, make-your-own burritos, grilled steaks, upside down pineapple cake, and tiramisu. Lunches were sandwiches. Saw many bald eagles. Visited Bear Camp which is a beautiful wooden lodge built on stilts on chilko lake. Went inflatable kayaking, hiking, and played lots of fun camp games. The guides were experienced, hard-working, and friendly. $2995 USD + $400 flight RT Vancouver to/ from Williams Lake.
