Big Cones is a must-try road trip staple anytime you're travelling through the beautiful town of Golden BC! There is a wide assortment of alternating ice cream flavours, all from Foothills Creamery. The prices have stayed very reasonable through the years, at only $5 for a double scoop cone. The lady who owns the shop is very friendly and entertaining, and always has great music playing. We love to grab a cone and sit on the back hatch of our truck in the large parking lot while eating and admiring the scenery. It's also conveniently located by a gas station and other restaurant options if you need to stop elsewhere before continuing on your journey. Blink and you might miss Big Cones, as it's located at the very back of the parking lot behind the gas station in a colorful little shack. No trip to BC is complete without a Big Cone! A must try for traveller's and locals alike.

Nice little ice cream shack behind a gas station. Has fairly extensive flavor options. Generous portion. Cash only, but she takes both Canadian and US dollars. However if you expect a change, you'll get only Canadian dollars, understandably so. Pretty fun experience for the kids as you fill up your gas tank.

Randomly discovered this place and it is now a mandatory stop. Amazing ice cream. The coconut was to die for. The portion size is big. I got the small waffle with mini portions and the lady was kind enough to accommodate. It is a cash only place though

Great little ice cream shack behind the Petro Canada. The friendliest gal works the biggest scoops of ice cream. Great selection and generous scoops make for a great stop while filling up gas.

We left Revy sled ride wanting some ice cream but had to hit the road. 1.5 hr later Golden delivered big time with a great Ice Cream shack right off the highway. Nice lady there sling’in scoops all day!. Ice cream (foothills brand) is hard packed and quality.

We visited golden and decided to try this icecream for the variety of flavours and unique business. We had tiger icecream for childhood nostalgia, salted caramel and bubble gum. All delicious and amazing customer service
