Amazing customer service, lovely people and lovely fruit! I never go anywhere else for my fruits and veggies, don’t even get me started on the sausages and burgers they sell at BLFs, so good. I recommend the turkey apple sausage or even just a classic mild Italian. I’m so glad I found this business, love you guys!! :))

Disappointing customer service. I realize some people will think I'm being petty with this review, but this is honestly the first time I've written a review where I've awarded fewer than 3 stars. I only like to write good reviews, but this situation was frustrating. I recently bought what I was told was "farmer sausage" and when I tried to cook it for the first time, I saw it was gray/brown with something red in it. The photo on the left is their sausage, the photo on the right is what farmer sausage SHOULD look like. I cooked it anyway, but it tasted "off". The texture was wrong, and it tasted awful. When I called the store and spoke with Jamie he wasn't willing to exchange it and stand by his product. He became defensive and said if he exchanged it, he would "take a hit". But isn't that what businesses do when they sell something inferior? He also said it wasn't his fault if I "didn't like it". But this is beyond not liking it, there is something wrong with it. I wanted to bring it to the store and show him why I had concerns (I kept the frozen portion and the ones I cooked) and then assumed I could exchange it for something else. But he told me he couldn't even accept it because of the rules of a food store. Looking back, I should have been more cautious when I was given the package because it had absolutely no labels showing what it was, nor the ingredients. Are they even allowed to sell something that isn't labelled? My only option is to throw away my $30 package of sausage and spend my money elsewhere.

Jamie the owner is the nicest gem of a man. Very nice selection of local organic fruits n veg, meats, sausages, ground bison and elk. Soon to be more local food products made. Love this store
