- Observed no paper towels at back handwash station. Paper towels were provided at this time.

- Observed food offered for sale being stored on top of the display case with no covering to protect from contamination. Food was removed and placed back in the kitchen at this time.

- In accordance with Section 88 of the Health Protection Act, you must comply with all terms and conditions of the Food Establishment permit, including (but not limited to) the following: section 2.14(b)(ii)i of the NS Food Code states Handwash facilities must: not be used for purposes other than handwashing. Observed items were in the hand wash station. Items were removed at this time.

- 19(1)(e) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following:
(e) that there is effective protection to prevent the access and sheltering of insects, rodents and other pests.
- In accordance with Section 2.17 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must ensure exterior openings are protected against the entry of pests. Observed front door propped open. No screen door is installed. Door was closed at this time by employee.

- Observed no paper towel dispenser and no paper towels at the front hand wash station. Provide a paper towel dispenser and paper towels. Place paper towels in the dispenser.

- In accordance with Section 2.9 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must: store all food and food items a minimum of 15 cm (6 in.) off the floor on racks, shelves or pallets; store all food and food items a minimum of 5 cm (2 in.) from the walls. Observed a tray of bread stored on the floor under the oven. The tray of bread was stored at least 15 cm off the floor at this time.

Employee moved the trap to an area that was not above a food prep surface.

- Observed no food safe sanitizer being used. 1/2 bleach and 1L water mixture is being used as a food safe sanitizer.
