      • The tops/covers on the grey garbage cans require cleaning as they are all quite dirty and soiled.

      • Mouthed toy bin was not available in the baby room.Observed staff member put a mouthed toy back on the shelf.

      • The liquid hand soap in the preschool room is very watered down.Proper hand hygiene is key to reducing the spread of illness, and proper hand hygiene starts with undiluted liquid hand soap.

    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • -Low water pressure and no warm water were noted at one of the two sinks in the preschool and toddler washroom.UPDATE - August 7, 2025:>No warm water detected at one of the two sinks in the preschool and toddler washroom. Water pressure was adequate.-The temperature at the hand sinks in one of the indoor gym washrooms was measured at 53C. The recommended maximum temperature is 49C. Please ensure that the temperature at the hand sinks is no greater than 49C.>CORRECTED - water temperature was measured at 38CPlease fix. Ensure that all sinks are properly maintained, have sufficient water pressure, and provide both hot and cold running water to support effective handwashing.

      • Expired antiseptic wipes (2024) were found in one first-aid kit in the indoor gym. Please ensure first-aid kits are stocked with valid supplies. Please maintain a proper first-aid kit. A link to the first-aid kit information will be included in the closing comments of this report.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Toys appeared visibly clean; however, after discussing with operators, the toy-washing procedure was found to be inappropriate. Toys are washed in a dedicated large utility sink in the indoor gym using a mixture of soap, bleach, and water. Mixing bleach with soap makes the bleach sanitizer less effective. Do not mix bleach with soap. Please follow the steps below for proper toy washing and sanitizing: 1. Wash with a detergent and warm water.2. Rinse detergent away with clean, warm water.3. Wipe, spray, or soak toys in a separate container/sink for two minutes using a chlorine bleach sanitizer solution (bleach + water).4. After the sanitizing step, let the surface or item air dryThe bleach solution must be regularly tested with chlorine sanitizer test strips to ensure a concentration of 100 ppm.Please update your toy washing procedure to reflect this.
