  1. Monitoring Inspection

    3 infractions

    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Canned foods were being stored in a cabinet located in the washroom. Corrective action: Food items must no longer be stored in the washroom to protect them from contamination. Please ensure that food items are also stored separately from chemicals once they are moved into the storage area.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Facility was not using a thermometer to ensure satisfactory temperatures are reached in the high-temperature dishwasher. A probe thermometer was located during the inspection and will be used going forward. Please note that the probe thermometer should read at 71 degrees Celsius (or 160 degrees Fahrenheit) for adequate sanitizing of dishware, utensils, and equipment.
    • 14. Does the facility have an adequate supply of potable hot and cold running water and is the water sampled at required intervals?
      • Facility is not sampling their water for bacteriological parameters at the required frequency. Corrective action: In order for us to determine the vulnerability of your water system to microbial contamination, you must increase your sampling frequency. Going forward, please sample your water on a monthly basis.
