    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • A couple of cardboard boxes under the counter are noted to have packets of sugar, disposable food cups, utensils and nonfood items that are noted to be stored in a disorganized manner. Ensure that food items, utensils, containers and etc are stored in a manner to prevent contamination. Nonfood items must be stored away from foods and food items.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Mouse droppings are observed in the cabinet area behind the dishwasher. Ensure that the trays and other items in the cabinet are removed and are washed and sanitized and the mouse dropping are cleaned using bleach.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Some drawer surface around the kitchen are noted with surfaces lifting or wearing away and are no longer smooth and easily cleanable. Ensure that the drawer surfaces are repaired to be smooth and easily cleanable.

      • The bar area counters are noted to have buildup of debris.Ensure these counters are regularly cleaned and sanitized.

Any holes around plumbing in this area should be plugged with steel wool to prevent the entry of mice.

      • 1.The shelf surfaces under the two compartment sinks and some shelves inside cabinets throughout the kitchen are noted with surfaces lifting or wearing away and are no longer smooth and easily cleanable. 2.The floors in the bar walk in cooler are cracked and damaged and part of the floor is sunken when walked on. 1.Ensure that the shelves are repaired to be smooth and easily cleanable. 2.Ensure that the floors are repaired to be smooth and easily cleanable.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • Utensils are noted in a few drawers that have buildup of food debris. All utensils must be cleaned and sanitized before storing them in a drawer.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • A bin with utensils is noted to have buildup of dust and debris. Ensure that the drawers are cleaned and sanitized.
