- The operator has redeveloped a small portion of the dining area to use for kitchen storage and some minor food prep work.This new kitchen area is immediately adjacent to the existing kitchen and the hand wash sink in the kitchen is only 8 steps from the new area work table, this is acceptable.The operator has removed the old carpet from this space and has exposed the bare concrete flooring.As the bare concrete floor is now exposed in a kitchen prep and storage area, it will need to be either: - painted with a high quality cement paint, OR - covered with a finished floor product like tile or laminate flooring ( or similar hard surfaced material ) that is smooth, sealed and impervious to water.
