- Freshly baked cookies were observed cooling on the counter adjacent to the handwashing station, which was not equipped with a splash guard. This presents a risk of cross-contamination. The concern was discussed with staff, and the food items were promptly relocated to an appropriate area.Ensure that counter space in close proximity to handwashing stations is not used for food handling or storage in order to minimize the risk of cross-contamination.

Staff indicated that the ice had recently melted and that they regularly monitor the setup and add ice as needed to maintain proper temperatures.The concern was discussed with staff, who promptly moved the affected products to a cooler and restocked supplies, ensuring sufficient ice is used to maintain proper temperatures.Ensure that all perishable food items requiring refrigeration are consistently stored at or below 4°C.

- The brush used to clean coffee grounds from and around the coffee machine was observed to be in disrepair, with damaged and loose bristles. Staff were advised to discard the brush, as loose bristles pose a risk of physical contamination of food. The staff acknowledge the risk and discarded the damaged brush during the inspection.
