      • There are multiple paper towel holders missing throughout the facility. Please purchase paper towel holders for all handwashing sinks.

    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • *Was informed that all toys from the room have been sprayed with bleach solution and run through the sanitizer. Bleach solution chlorine concentration @ 500ppm.**Observed signs of water damaged material in multiple areas.-Kinder room: cubie unit, bookshelf, bathroom door trim. Cots stored on side on the floor. -Bathroom: inside door frame trim. Wastewater would be able to get into and along the trackers for the stall dividers. Preschool: door to bathroom trim. Cabinet for handwash sink water damaged along base edge in contact with the floor. cubies, bookshelves, cots stored on side, baseboard by window has seemed to pull away slightly. -area rugs have been removed from the rooms that were wet and have been washed in the washing machine with hot water and run through dryer on low and then air drying. Front area/ entrance: wall paneling extends to the floor and is backed with felt/ absorbent material which would have been in contact with the wastewater. -Have at minimum the bottom row removed.Office: front wall baseboard has pulled away from the wall in the corner. -All water damaged material and furniture will require replacement to be in good repair. All finishes must be smooth and impervious to moisture and be in good repair. Plastic items that are solid or internal parts full accessible can be fully deep cleaned with soap and water, and then disinfected. -Was informed that infant room and toddler room were not impacted and OSC room. Infant room currently storing all/ most of wood furniture from the other rooms. Infant room is to be fully cleaned (soap & water) and then disinfected with at least 1000ppm bleach for all surfaces and items so the soiled items were relocated into the room.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • *The washroom between preschool and kinder floor drain was the apparent source of the backup. Site uncertain if it happened Friday night or Sunday. At time of visit there was no pooling water on the floor. Staff informed that they had mopped everything and then went over with bleach water. Plumber is set to come back to the site and has removed one of the toilets to check the plumbing system. There seems to be some questions regarding the direction of the plumbing vs the plans.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • *Under sink cabinet within the washroom now have chemical storage, thus requiring child safety lock/ latch to be installed.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • -bleach is onsite for disinfecting. -Spray bottles for bleach solution are labeled *no bleach solution in spray bottles in them to confirm concentration -diaper changing procedure was onsite near where they are to go up, along with changing table.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • -Observed in multi rooms the gap between the sink countertop and wall has been caulked(rooms: preschool, kinder, toddler, infant room, and out of school care).-Door knob installed for one washroom door (Toddler room). *Observed that a certain type of 3 level shelving found in multiple rooms posed potential tipping hazard still and have not been anchored. -Please have these tippable shelves secure.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Handwash sinks were not all fully equipped for hand drying. Child care rooms handwash sinks were missing at minimum paper towel. Paper towels holder (baskets) was in place for the sinks.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • -Plumbing for the sink within the Toddler room has been installed backwards has been corrected to be installed like all other lines within the facility. -One of the washroom sinks between preschool and kinder has been fixed. -Water temperatures were measured at the different childcare room sinks with temperatures varying has not been adjusted to be closer being between 43C to 46C, but ensuring that it is less than 49C.
    • 28. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Critical)?
      • Some of the washroom stalls still were waiting on the toilet paper holders to be installed and toilet paper.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • *Still have boxes, construction debris and ladder in children accessible areas of facility. Have the ladder removed to appropriate area away from children and construction debris and boxes cleaned up.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • *No disinfectant was present or prepared for use. *No diaper changing procedure was onsite or up, nor changing table.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • *Observed in multi rooms there being a gap between the sink countertop and wall (rooms: preschool, kinder, toddler, infant room, and out of school care). -please have these gaps caulked.*Door knob missing for one washroom door (Toddler room). Please have door knob installed as planned. *Observed that a certain type of 3 level shelving found in multiple rooms posed potential tipping hazard. -Please have these tippable shelves secure.

      • Handwash sinks were not all fully equipped for hand drying. Child care rooms handwash sinks were missing at minimum paper towel and holder/ dispenser.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • *Plumbing for the sink within the Toddler room has been installed backwards. -Have the plumbing of the hot and cold water lines corrected so that it is consistent with all other hot and cold water lines in the facility. *One of the washroom sinks between preschool and kinder has been marked as leaking and is to be fixed. -Water temperatures were measured at the different childcare room sinks with temperatures varying from 24C to 41C. Contractor will have the temperature adjusted to be closer being between 43C to 46C, but ensuring that it is less than 49C.
    • 28. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Critical)?
      • Some of the washroom stalls still were waiting on the toilet paper holders to be installed and toilet paper.
