    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • No quat testing strips could be located. Please obtain quat testing strips to verify dispenser is dispensing 200-400ppm quat solution.

    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • There were some fly strips located above a food area. Fly strips are not to be put up in areas where there may be open food or clean utensils.Backpack sitting next to food mixer in the kitchen. Store personal items separately.
    • 09. Are chemicals stored and handled in a safe manner?
      • Spray bottles of quat sanitizer were not labelled. Please label as to their contents.

      • No quat testing strips could be located. Please obtain quat testing strips.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • There were some flies in the kitchen. Doors to the outside were being kept open. Keep doors to the outside closed. Install screen doors if needed for ventilation.Door closed during inspection.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Arborite (orange) coming off around sink in front kitchen area; particleboard underneath is water-damaged. Please repair/replace counter/backsplash in this area.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • There are some cutting boards that have deep grooves/cuts; these are to be discarded as are no longer easily cleanable.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Exhaust hood filters need cleaning. As well, sticker on exhaust hood indicated it was due for cleaning November 2019. Please clean exhaust hood and ensure system cleaned if hasn't been done in last year.
