     • Homemade play dough portions should be labelled with the child’s name, and stored in a manner that protects against contamination in between uses.
     • If homemade play dough, ooblek or other sensory play materials contain flour as an ingredient, flour is heat-treated prior to use.
     • Food items (e.g., corn, rice, pasta) are not recommended to be used in sensory tables. If used during sensory play, children should be supervised to ensure ingestion does not occur and food items are discarded after each use.
     • Single use containers used to hold meat or eggs, or that were used in bathrooms should not be used for crafts (e.g. egg cartons, toilet paper rolls) unless purchased new.
