    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Silicone pads used for lash lift and lash lifter pick were being disinfected using alcohol wipes. Operator explained that the use of these tools for eyelash extension and lamination which indicated that the tools were semi-critical.Alcohol is not an approved disinfectant for reusable semi-critical tools. Silicone pads and lash pick must be washed using soap and water, rinsed, dried with paper towel. Then immersed in a high-level disinfectant for the time indicated on the manufacturer's label, rinsed and then air-dried again.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • The rolls of the single-use wax paper were stored uncovered under a hair washing sink at the waxing station. Store all tools and supplies used in providing services on clients in a sanitary manner to prevent contamination.

      • Hair brushes in a portable drawer were observed with hair debris in the hair station nearest to the hair garbage disposal area. Clean and disinfect the hair brushes. Ensure that all tools are adequately cleaned and disinfected after the use on each client.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • The waxing station lacked a garbage bin.Obtain and place a garbage bin near the waxing station to easily discard all single-use equipment and tools immediately after use on a client.
