    • 101 - Plans/construction/alterations not in accordance with the Regulation [s. 3; s. 4]
      • Observation: The floor underneath the 3 compartment sink were not finished. (Public Health Significance) - the floor of the food premises should be smooth and non-absorbent to facilitate effective cleaning, minimizing the risk of food contamination.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to repair and ensure the floor is clean, sanitary, smooth and non-absorbent at all times.
    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Scoops were found on flour. The flour container was dirty. (Public Health Significance) - scoop handles can easily contaminate the food. Dirty container increase the chance of food contamination.
      • Corrective Action: Operator immeidately removed the scoop. Operator to ensure scoops are stored outsde and food containers are in sanitary condition at all times.
    • 301 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Shelves and walls in the walk-in coolers were discolored and peel-off respectively. The fan and its surrounding area were dusty. Exhaust hood in the kitchen was dusty. (Public Health Significance) - Peel-offs and dust can contaminate foods. The interior surfaces of the walk-in cooler should be smooth and non-absorbent to facilitate cleaning and sanitation.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to clean and sanitize the fan and its surrounding area. Operator to ensure the exhaust hood, shelvings and the walls of the walk-in cooler are sanitary, smooth and non-absorbent.
    • 301 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: The interior of the slurry machine was dusty. Ground coffee residues were found in the interior of the coffee maker. Stains were found on the nozzles of coffee dispensing machine. Debris were found in the potato cutter. (Public Health Significance) - food equipment should be maintained at a sanitary condition to minimize food contamination.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to clean and disinfect the slurry machine, coffee maker, coffee dispensing machine and potato cutter more frequently. Operator to ensure food equipment are clean and sanitary at all times.
    • 301 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Dishwasher racks were discolored and sitting on a table with prolonged stagnant water. Black peel offs were observed. (Public Health Significance) - dishwasher rack with prolonged contact with pooling water contribute to the growth of bacterial biofilm, which can contaminate food contact surfaces and cause foodborne illnesses.
      • Corrective Action: Operator immediately stopped using the dishwasher racks. Operator to ensure all food contact surfaces are clean and sanitary. Avoid storing utensils for food preparation with stagnant water.
