      • The washroom door was not equipped with a self-closing system. The inspector informed the staff/operator that washrooms in the facility must be tight fitting and equipped with a self-closing door.**EQUIP THE WASHROOM WITH A SELF-CLOSING DOOR.**NOTE (2023-04-26). The operator mentioned that they have obtained the self-closing system hardware for the washroom doors, pending installation.

      • Food safety monitoring records were not available for review. *** Please ensure that monitoring of temperatures, sanitizer concentrations and dishwashing sanitation are being completed and recorded. Template provided. ***
    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Scoops were observed being stored within the dry goods bins. Scoops were within the bins in a manner that allowed contamination from dirty hands to be transferred to handles and to the bulk foods.*** Please ensure scoops are managed in a way that prevents contamination of the bulk foods. ***
    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • The chemical dishwasher sanitizer concentration was not detectable. Maintenance staff were on site to fix problem.In the interim, manual sanitizing of dishes was being completed.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • The hand sink was out of paper towel and the supply was replaced during the inspection.

      • CONTINUES: Pest control monitoring is not being recorded.*** please ensure monthly pest monitoring and control records are being maintained. ***

      • A number of cutting boards were deeply scarred and stained allowing trapping of foods and debris that cannot be penetrated by detergent and sanitizer.*** Please replace or resurface all cutting boards that are deeply scarred and stained. ***

      • CONTINUES: There was no cleaning schedule and written sanitation plane being implemented on-site. *** Please ensure to implement a cleaning schedule and written sanitation plan in the facility. ***The fans in the walk-in cooler were observed to be dusty and dirty.*** Please clean the walk-in cooler fans regularly as per the sanitation plan. ***
