      • Countertop surrounding the two children’s handwash sinks is starting to look very worn, with patched seams evident. Deteriorated seams and wear prevent effective cleaning and sanitation, creating potential for accumulation of debris and moisture.Please replace countertop with a durable, non-absorbent, and easily cleanable surface. Replacement should be completed prior to the start of the next preschool term, September 2026.

      • 1. Observed no litmus paper test strips available for testing disinfectant (bleach) concentration at the time of inspection. Please obtain litmus paper test strips and make them available for testing disinfectant (bleach) concentration.2. As previously mentioned, area under the rugs was visibly dirty at the time of inspection. Please clean them weekly to maintain in clean manner at all times.

      • 1. Manufacturer's instructions for disinfectant currently in use are not being followed to achieve disinfection of surfaces, such as tables and toys. Please allow disinfectant to remain wet on surfaces for at least 5 minutes and then the surfaces must be rinsed with potable water. Alternatively, it is recommended to use a bleach-based disinfectant since it is easy to make, no contact time required on tables, and it does not need to be rinsed off. If bleach will be used, corresponding litmus test paper strips must be used to confirm that a concentration of 100 ppm sodium hypochlorite (bleach) is achieved every time the sanitizer/disinfectant is made.2. Please clean under rugs as they were visibly dirty at time of inspection.
