- Observation: Operator indicates coffees (including lattes, cappucinos) are being served to the general public on the weekend (approximately less than 10).
- NOTE: if you are only serving to invited guests such as potential clients you do not need a Food Permit
- Corrective Action(s): Your current Health Approval is for food processing and packaging only -this does not allow for ready-to-eat potentially hazardous foods to the public. In order to do this you will need to obtain a food Health Permit from this department.
- The following items will need to be submitted for review prior to the initial inspection and issuing a Health Permit:
- -revised application form
- -full menu
- -Food Safety Plan covering the menu. Also indicating that the front public area will have the roaster removed and no food processing there
- -copies of FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent submitted -at least one worker must be on duty with this certification at all times
- As well contact the City of Burnaby licensing regarding this change -it may not be included in your current business license
- -annual Health Permit fee
