    • 19(1)(c) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following:  (c) that the surfaces and materials are durable, non-toxic and are easy to maintain, clean and sanitize;
      • Flooring in bakery is worn out and not easily cleanable. Repair/replace flooring so that it is smooth ad easily cleanable. In accordance with Section 2.4.2 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must ensure all floors are durable, easily cleanable and non-slip.
    • 88 A person to whom a permit is issued shall comply with all terms and conditions of the permit.
      • In accordance with Section 88 of the Health Protection Act, you must comply with all terms and conditions of the Food Establishment permit, including (but not limited to) the following: Where handling of potentially hazardous food occurs, the Club Demonstration Services (CDS) booths must be located within 15 feet of a Costco department equipped with a handwashing station.

    • 19(1)(c) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following:  (c) that the surfaces and materials are durable, non-toxic and are easy to maintain, clean and sanitize;
      • Floor in bakery department worn out and no longer easily cleanable outside the proofers and in the area by the dishwasher. Floor in the deli department also no longer easily cleanable, including the back up room. Replace flooring so that its smooth and easily cleanable.
    • 19(1)(e) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following: (e) that there is effective protection to prevent the access and sheltering of insects, rodents and other pests.
      • Observed two small holes, one on each side of receiving door 3. Holes must be filled/repaired to avoid entry by pests. In accordance with Section 2.17 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must ensure exterior openings are protected against the entry of pests.
    • 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done: (b) insects, rodents and other pests are controlled;
      • Rodent droppings observed on the floor under shelving rack outside walk in cooler and on the floor by the carbondioxide tank in the main kitchen. Clean and sanitize areas affected by rodent droppings.
