      • Bags of flours were stored directly on the ground. **Please store bags of flour 6 inches above the ground or in pest proof containers.
    • 09. Are chemicals stored and handled in a safe manner?
      • Bottle of sanitizer was not labelled. **Label. ***CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • QUATs test strips were expired (Jan 2025). **Obtain new test strips.Note: At the time of the inspection July 9 2026 - the test strips could not be located.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • Food permit could not be located at the time of the inspection. **Ensure food permit is displayed in a location that is visible to the public.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Cleaning required in the following areas:1) Flooring of the high traffic areas. 2) Harder to reach areas on the bottom shelf where all the syrups are stored.

      • Missing thermometer in the stand up silver fridge. **Obtain thermometer.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • QUATs test strips were expired (Jan 2025). **Obtain new test strips.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • 1. The window ledge in front of the counter by the cookie oven was observed to have no finish. **Ensure there is a finish the ledge. A paint finish would be sufficient.2. A floor board located by the drive thru was observed to be separated and there was a gap with an accumulation of dust/debris. **Seal gap so that the area is smooth and easily cleanable.

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • The sanitizer available onsite was measured at a concentration of >500ppm quats.Sanitizer was diluted to 200ppm quats during inspection. Use available test strips to verify that sanitizer is maintained at a correct concentration.

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • Staff indicated that utensils were not being sanitized as part of regular cleaning procedure. Disinfectant chemical indicated as being used to wipe countertops did not have specific instructions for use on food contact surfaces. The contact time of this cleaner/disinfectant made its use as a sanitizer in a food facility impractical. Ensure that prepared diluted bleach or other approved sanitizer is available for use whenever in operation. Ensure that utensils and dishes are sanitized after being washed and rinsed.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Chlorine test strips could not be located by staff during inspection. Ensure test strips are available for use whenever facility is in operation.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • 1) The side of a shelf near the countertop closest to the oven was observed to be raw wood.Finish this surface to render it smooth and easily cleanable. 2) Several shelves in the freezer were damaged and repaired using duct tape, making the surfaces difficult to clean. Replace drawers to ensure smooth easily cleanable surfaces.
