    • 19(2)(a) A food establishment must provide all of the following in accordance with applicable legislation or as considered acceptable by the Administrator:     (a) a supply of potable hot and cold water at adequate pressure and volume with the appropriate facilities to store and distribute the water and to control the water temperature;
      • Facility is due for bacteriological water sampling and testing of the water supply. Provide bacteriological water test results to the Department asap to ensure water is potable and safe for consumption. In accordance with Section 2.10(b) of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must provide hot and cold water, under adequate pressure, and in sufficient quantities to meet the peak demands throughout the food premise.
    • 28(2) If an operator is absent from a food establishment, the operator must ensure that a member of the personnel who has successfully completed a food hygiene training program is present.
      • No certified food handlers on site at the time of inspection. Provide proof of food hygiene training certification for food handler. One person per shift is required to be certified in food hygiene certification.
