    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Toys are only being cleaned twice a year. Corrective action: Toys must be cleaned on a weekly basis or when soiled. The following methods can be implemented to accomplish this:1. Manual method- Wash with detergent and warm water.- Rinse detergent away with clean, warm water.- Wipe, spray, or keep item submerged in a sink for 2 minutes in an approved disinfectant- After sanitizing step, let the surface or item air dry2. Toys with smooth, easily cleanable surfaces (e.g., plastic toys) can also be cleaned in a dishwashing machine. The dishwasher needs to be a commercial model or a domestic model with a sanitizing cycle that has been tested by a PHI.
