- October 6th, 2023: Professional pest control company Orkin was hired to assess and abate the cockroach issue. An Orkin professional inspected the facility on October 2nd, 2023, and detected low-level cockroach activity in the facility. Initial treatment is scheduled for October 10th, 2023. A second visit is to be conducted 2-3 days after the initial treatment to assess the treatment efficiency and place traps to monitor the activity. September 26th, 2023: The sliding peg board was removed. A professional pest control company has not been contacted. A professional pest control company must be retained by September 29th, 2023. A live cockroach was observed near the sink at the back of the store. As well cockroach droppings could be seen along the wall beside the sliding peg board beside the sink. Please implement a pest control program with the assistance of a professional pest control company to abate the cockroach issue. As well, I recommend removing the blue sliding peg board next to the hand sink as it appears to be providing harborage for the cockroaches. As well seal any holes or gaps to prevent entry and harborage.
