- 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
- 1) There was only a handwash sink in the food handling area.-install a 2-compartment sink to allow for handwashing AND washing/sanitizing utensils, containers, scoops, etc.2) Scoops/containers, etc were not being washed/sanitized.
- 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
- Food was being sorted, and re-packaged, but there was no handwash sink in this area.ACTION:1) Move food handling activities to the room with the handwash sink. Do not handle food in the front storage area.2) Install a handwash sink in the front, food handling area.
- 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
- Lights in the food handling area did not have covers or shatter-proof shields.-ensure all lights in the food handling/storage areas are shatterproof and/or have covers to prevent breakage.
