    • 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: 1. Observed food remaining in refrigeration units and a bad odour emanating from the units indicating the food is no longer safe for consumption. 2. Vents above stoves has a build up of dirt and which can dislodge and contaminate food.
      • Corrective Action: 1. Ensure refrigeration units are emptied after school has finished as well as cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis. 2. Operator to clean and sanitize vents above the stove.
    • 307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
      • Observation: Dry storage area has particle board which is not sealed or durable enough to facilitate regular cleaning and sanitizing. Particle board can absorb juices and harbour and allow disease causing bacteria to grow. Proper materials and finishing is required to ensure adequate cleaning and sanitizing.
      • Corrective Action: Refinish surfaces to provide a durable easy to clean surface.
