      • The divider installed between the toilets has surfaces that would be absorbent and difficult to clean.A section of wall in the corner of the basement program area has unfinished wood edges, making them difficult to clean. A room divider in the lower upstairs room has an unfinished edge, making it difficult to clean. Finish or otherwise modify surfaces to render them smooth and easily cleanable.

      • Staff described a toy washing procedure that would not sufficiently disinfect surfaces, as the diluted bleach basin was described as being rinsed after immersion in bleach solution. This procedure would not allow a sufficient contact time for diluted bleach to disinfect washed surfaces.Ensure that three-compartment sink method for toy washing involves the use of diluted bleach as the final step, allowing for a sufficient contact time for the disinfection of cleaned surfaces. Rinsing of washed toys is to occur after washing to remove detergent prior to immersion or spraying in disinfectant.

      • The railing of the stairs and ramp to the side of the toddler area leading to the upper floor has gaps large enough for a child to fit through. Modify side railing to remove gaps accessible to children.

      • A section of flooring in the basement has an unfinished section with a previous construction element protruding. The flooring in the basement has gaps in between the flooring and support poles.An electrical outlet cover is missing on the wall of the uppermost floor of the childcare facility, immediately adjacent to the stairs/ramp to the lower level. Repair indicated areas to render surfaces smooth and easily cleanable.
