    • 07. Is this facility properly constructed (Critical)?
      • The railing of the stairs and ramp to the side of the toddler area leading to the upper floor has gaps large enough for a child to fit through. Modify side railing to remove gaps accessible to children.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • A section of flooring in the basement has an unfinished section with a previous construction element protruding. The flooring in the basement has gaps in between the flooring and support poles.An electrical outlet cover is missing on the wall of the uppermost floor of the childcare facility, immediately adjacent to the stairs/ramp to the lower level. Repair indicated areas to render surfaces smooth and easily cleanable.

      • The toilet area does not have installed doors or gates suitable to separate the washroom on the main floor from the rest of the area. Install a divider between the toilet and program areas which can be opened from the outside.

      • The windows in the main floors of the facility do not have window blinds or other suitable coverings to reduce lighting for napping. Install window blinds or coverings that sufficiently reduce light inside this area to be conducive to napping.
