      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) No sanitizer detected in a bottle labeled sanitizer (QUAT). Sanitizer spray bottle with QUAT must provide a minimum concentration of 200 ppm to effectively sanitize food contact surfaces.
      • Corrective Action: Operator re-fill bottle with QUAT sanitizer. It was able to reach the minimum requirement of 200 ppm.

    • 301 - Critical Repeat Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Noticeable amount of flour and grime in some areas where food is prepared. Dirty utensils stored in areas that may lead to contamination.
      • Corrective Action: Regularly clean all food contact surfaces throughout the day. Ensure all utensils are clean and stored in an appropriate location to prevent contamination.
    • 401 - Critical Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Hand washing station in back of premises was blocked off from use. (Public Health Significance) Hand washing is an important practice to ensure food are protected from cross contamination from other previously handled foods or contact surfaces.
      • Corrective Action: Ensure the hand wash station is accessible at all times and used only as a hand wash station whenever food is being prepared. Soap and paper towel in dispensers and hot and cold running water must be provided to facilitate proper hand washing.

      • Observation: A sticker is on the dough cutting surface to indicate how to cut brownies. The sticker is flaking and no longer cleanable.
      • Corrective Action: Remove the sticker, and if necessary replace with a new one that is cleanable. Ensure this is completed on a routine basis.
    • 311 - Repeat Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
      • Observation: Floor tiles cracking further degradation expected. (Public Health Significance) Tight, durable surfaces are required throughout a food establishment to facilitate proper cleaning minimize pest attractants and eliminate food contamination concerns.
      • Corrective Action: Repair or replace floor in your upcoming renovation plans, Renovations are booked for 2 weeks in September
