      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Both handsink paper towel dispensers did not have any paper towel at time of initial inspection. Operator replaced missing paper towel during the inspeciton. Hand sink in the rear had dishwashing gloves covering the handle and also on top of the faucet.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure all hand sinks are supplied with hot/cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towel at all times to allow for proper hand washing to occur. Ensure all hand wash stations are free from obstructions that could prevent handwashing from occurring.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Falafel was found on a shelf sitting at room temperature in the back. Item was still in frozen state. Item was transferred to a working cooler to defrost accordingly.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure any frozen items are defrosting in an acceptable manner. Frozen items can be defrosted in a cooler overnight, under cold running water, or using the defrost setting in microwave if needed immediately.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Power tool attachment used for mixing has surface rust on it. Operator removed the item during the inspection and stated a blender will be used going forward for mixing sauces.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure materials used for food contact are food grade - be smooth, durable, non absorbent, and easy to clean.. Rusted tools are not suitable for any food contact as it can harbor pathogenic bacteria that can contaminate food.

      • 2. Bucket of bagged dry spices was stored underneath rack of chemicals. Operator corrected and moved the bucket during the inspection.
      • Corrective Action(s): 1.Supply a form of food grade cover to protect from contamination. Ensure all food items in coolers are covered.
      • 2. Ensure food items are not stored nearby chemicals where it can lead to potential contamination.

      • 3. Small deep dryer unit was being used in the back where there is no proper ventilation.
      • Corrective Action(s): 1. Replace peeling drop ceiling tiles so that they are in good repair.
      • 2. Remove all the contaminated sealant and re-caulk and seal all corner and water ingress points.
      • 3. Do not use small deep fryer unit in area's where there isnt proper ventilation. Reposition small deep dryer undernearth the ventilation if it is to be used.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Liquid soap at front hand sink was not available as the dispenser was clogged/not working. Other hand sink with properly working liquid soap dispenser is available in the meantime. Staff stated they have been using that hand sink instead.
      • Corrective Action(s): Both of your kitchen hand washing sinks and soap/paper towel dispensers must be stocked and working properly at all times. Continue using the other hand sink in the meantime, until the soap dispenser is fixed. Also see violation code 308.

      • Observation: 1) Opened tin cans of food were found stored in the prep cooler.
      • 2) Garbage bags were being used to line food storage crates (onions).
      • Corrective Action(s): 1) Once tin cans have been opened, food contents must be transferred to food-grade containers.
      • 2) Garbage bags must not be used for food storage as they may contain chemicals. Only use food-grade materials for storage of food.

      • 2) All hand sinks must be properly supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels in designated dispensers. Staff refilled dispensers at time of inspection.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) Water for the hand sink in the front area was turned off and not in use.
      • 2) Second hand sink in the back area had items stored in the sink and was obstructed by storage of brooms directly in front of the sink.
      • Corrective Action(s): 1) All hand washing sinks must be properly supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels. Staff stated a plumber has been scheduled for today to service the front hand sink.
      • 2) Do not store items in or in front of any hand washing sink. All hand washing sinks must be easily accessible for hand washing. Staff cleared access to the second hand sink at time of inspection. Second hand sink now easily accessible by staff in front and back kitchens - OK temporarily until front hand sink has been repaired.

      • Observation: 1) Prep cooler doors, seals, handles, and interior require cleaning and sanitizing.

      • Ensure deep cleaning of equipment is completed at least once a week.

      • Corrective Action(s): 1 & 3) A plumber has been scheduled for servicing both hand sinks today.
      • 2) Repair or replace both paper towel dispensers and ensure they are working properly and are in use.

      • Corrective Action(s): Obtain 3 appropriate sink drain plugs (one for each sink compartment). Sink compartments must be able to stay filled for proper warewashing.

      • Corrective Action(s): Required operator to prepare bleach sanitizer and have it prepared first thing in the morning when they open. Upon request, operator prepared bleach sanitizer at the time of inspection

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Hand washing station beside three compartment sink was obstructed by a garbage bin, had items in the sink. The sink was not available for use at the time of inspection

      • Observation: Both donair machines on the left-most side of the establishment (from customer's perspective) had element covers that were significantly damaged, leading to an elevated risk of contamination into food.
      • Corrective Action(s): Immediately cease usage of both donair machines. Element covers for all 4 donair machines, provided from the manufacturer, MUST be replaced prior to usage of the donair machines. A follow-up inspection must occur to verify replacement of the covers prior to resuming usage. Photos taken.
