- Observation: Items such as paints, drill and other equipment not meant for food handling were stored along with dry food items meant for public consumption. (Public Health Significance) - Storing chemical items such as paints and physical items such as drills, non-functioning food handling equipment besides food items can cause contamination of food and adverse health effects.
- Corrective Action: Operator to ensure that all chemicals (paints) and physical equipment not meant for food handling are removed from the dry storage area/shelf.

- Observation: Several bags of sugar and containers containing food were observed to be stored on floor and close to the walls. (Public Health Significance) - Food items stored on the floor and close to the walls can be easily pests that may carry disease causing organisms, pests may contaminate the food items which if consumed can cause food-borne illness.
- Corrective Action: Operator to ensure that all food items and containers containing food items are stored 15 cms off the floor and 5 cms off the walls.

- Observation: Food items for personal use are stored with food for public consumption. (Public Health Significance) - Food items for personal use when stored with food for public can increase the risk of potential cross-contamination and may cause food-borne illness if consumed.
- Corrective Action: Ensure that all food items for personal use are stored in a separate designated location.

- Observation: Inappropriate equipment used as scoops (tin cans) to obtain or move food products. Public Health significance - Scoops stored in food products must have handles that do not come in contact with food product to prevent potential cross-contamination that can lead to foodborne illness.
- Corrective Action: Operator to remove tin cans from food products and use scoops with handles.
- 304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
- Observation: Mouse droppings observed underneath the dishwashing station during inspection. Public Health Significance - Food premise must be free of pests such as mice, to prevent the spread of disease on food-contact surfaces that can cause foodborne illness.
- Corrective Action: Operator to dispose of mouse droppings and clean and sanitize around and under the dishwashing station. Monitor the area and set up traps to rid of mice. If the issue persists, enlist a pest control company to monitor and control pest activity.
