    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Standing diapering is being done at the facility, which differs from approved diapering procedures. Staff reportedly change sets of gloves 3 times throughout the procedure without doing hand hygiene in between. This practice interferes adequate infection prevention and control.Corrective action: It is recommended that staff wear only one set of gloves during diapering of each client, and use a tongue depressor or a similar implement to dispense creams or ointments. A baby wipe can be used to remove heavy soils should any come into contact with the gloves. Handwashing must be done after glove removal.
