    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • In school building - Preschool & OSCToy washing procedures were reviewed with staff, who indicated that toys were being washed in three separate bins within the classroom rather than in a sink. The Public Health Inspector discussed the requirements and directed staff to conduct toy washing either in the school kitchen sinks or at the sinks/dishwasher in the Portable 3 daycare kitchen.Staff agreed to modify the current toy washing procedure accordingly.

      • Portable-3 Building - DaycareInsufficient separation between children’s personal items was noted. Items including bags and jackets were observed stored closely together on individual hooks along the storage rail.Ensure adequate spacing between personal items during storage, either by using alternate hooks (e.g., skipping one hook between items) or by installing physical barriers between items, similar to the separation provided in cubby systems.

      • The maximum hot water temperature at sinks in the small washroom beside preschool room, the boy's washroom, and the girl's washroom was 60C, 61C, and 63C respectively. Please lower them to 54C (maximum) or 49 (recommended).
