- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- Evidence of the presence of mice in the facility was observed:- Mouse droppings were observed in the furnace room- Mouse droppings were observed in the corner areas of the storage room- Box scraps, evidence of nibbling and mouse droppings were observed on the wooden shelf in the storage area- Mouse droppings were observed in the food handling area beside the oven underneath a Diaphacione 0.005% bait station.- Diaphacione bait station block was observed with nibbles- The Diphacinone bait station was not affixed with pest control agency labelling- Structural pesticide service records were not present for the use of Diaphacione in a food establishment.Correction:- Clean and sanitize mouse droppings according to the hantavirus protocol attached- Remove the rodenticide bait station, OR; provide Structural pest control records permitting the use of Diphacinone
