- 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
- The dishwasher is not dispensing any sanitizer and was advised it is not functional/is leaking. Was advised different dishwasher is going to be installed and that dishwasher is not often used (caterers bring own dishes and take back to own facility to clean or disposables are used). Condition will need to be put on food permit that only disposables can be used for customer service unless functional dishwasher installed shortly.
- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- There was evidence of mice (droppings, shredded paper) in the closet where the hot water tank is. Remove droppings (spray with 1 parts bleach/9 parts water solution first) and then clean and sanitize the area. Install rodent control devices in this area.
- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- There are some gaps under/between doors into community hall from patio and from main front door that could allow the entry of rodents. Please close off the gaps.
- 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
- Expired food handling permit was on display. Please display current food handling permit.
- 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
- The domestic fan above the stove on the left is not working. To be repaired.
- 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
- Some unwrapped disposable dishes were stored in room with hot water tank. Store in a manner to prevent them from contamination.
- 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
- Overall cleanliness is very good, just the vents need cleaning (ceiling and wall above freezer). Please clean the vents.
