What these findings mean

Health authorities word their findings differently, so we group them by what they mean for your health. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Surfaces, dishes and tools that touch food or people must be cleaned and then sanitized or disinfected. Inspectors check sanitizer strength, dishwasher temperatures and how cleaning is done. Poor sanitizing lets germs survive from one use to the next.

Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on September 11, 2026. For example: 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]

  • Food temperature controlHigher risk

Inspectors check that anything that has to be kept at a set temperature, such as chilled or hot food, or equipment like sterilizers, stays in its safe range and that accurate thermometers are on hand. With food, temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning.

    Recorded once on September 4, 2026. For example: 205 - Cold potentially hazardous food stored/displayed above 4 °C. [s. 14(2)]

  1. Follow-Up Inspection

    1 infraction

    • 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
      • Observation: One of the walk-in-cooler display doors on the customer side (third door from the left side) does not provide a tight seal when closed, and it was observed to have been left open at the time of inspection. This is a repeat violation.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure the appropriate repairs are made to the above-noted walk-in-cooler door so that it closes properly, is in good repair, and provides a tight seal when closed; Correct within 4 months, and prior to re-stocking the cooler with potentially hazardous food.
      • .
      • Manager informed the door seal replacement did not fix the issue, and they need to replace the entire refrigeration door, and requested this work be completed next year. It was discussed that the walk-in-cooler doors are required to provide a tight seal when closed, be in good repair, and the refrigeration temperature must be monitored and maintained at 4 degrees C or less if potentially hazardous food is stored inside the walk-in-cooler.
      • Manager informed he would discontinue storage of potentially hazardous food inside the walk-in-cooler as an interim measure, and store the potentially hazardous food in the upright cooler. Manager transferred the potentially hazardous food (milk jugs and creamers) from the walk-in-cooler into the upright cooler during the inspection. Walk-in-cooler was at 4 degrees C or less at the time of inspection.
      • Violation Score: 9

      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure creamers are stored at 4 degrees C or less to prevent potential growth of harmful bacteria and/or production of toxins. Staff transferred the creamers above 4 degrees C for less than 2 hours to another working cooler at 4 degrees C or less during the inspection.
      • Violation Score: 5
    • 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]

      • 2. Refrigeration door seal was not providing a tight fit for one of the display cooler doors of the walk-in-cooler.
      • Corrective Action(s): 1. Ensure the over-the-counter cooler is monitored and maintained at or below 4 degrees C; Correct by September 10, 2026, and prior to re-stocking it with potentially hazardous food.
      • .
