- Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Quats sanitizer solution used for food contact surfaces was measured at >400 ppm. The EHO and the facility's onsite sanitizer testing strips measured higher than 400 ppm. This can create a possible chemical contamination risk. The preparation procedure was discussed with staff, based on the bottle size and the manufacturers instructions the staff were mixing too much of the concentrated solution into the bottle. Corrected During Inspection (CDI): The staff were instructed to immediately dilute the solutions, these were all diluted at the time of inspection and remeasured at 200 ppm QUATS. This was satisfactory. Staff have sanitizer testing strips and were instructed to use these for testing the formulation. The staff agreed to change the amounts added to the bottles and test to ensure they are within the proper ranges. 200ppm. Staff wiping down surfaces and sanitizing as required.
