      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - The majority of the bulk bin feed tubes were uncovered.
      • - Some food (e.g. bagged dry food, produce boxes) were stored on the floor.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure food is covered at all times and stored off the floor to protect from potential contamination.

      • Observation: - Gap observed on right side of loading bay door (seal is torn). Note: Operator stated that he is aware of the issue and is having the seal replaced.
      • - Spilled dry food observed in bulk area and in bulk storage/loading area.
      • Corrective Action(s): - Ensure no gaps are present at loading bay door. Have seal replaced/repaired. This is a potential pest entry point. Date to be corrected by: Jan 30, 2026.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Large prep knife was again observed to be stored in the gap between the prep table and three compartment sink.
      • Corrective Action(s): Knive was removed, sanitized, and placed on the nearby knife strip for storage at the time of inspection. Do not store any utensils/knives in this space as there is debris in this space and it is not accessible for effective cleaning and sanitizing. Ensure all staff are aware of requirements. This is a repeat violation.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observations: Large food prep knife stored in between 3-compartment sink and packaging table observed to have food debris stuck onto back portion.
      • Corrective actions: Clear and sanitize knife. Ensure all utensils and equipment are cleaned and sanitized prior to storage. Food debris may cause contamination to food and/or attract pests. Staff cleaned and sanitized knife at time of inspection.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observations: Spray bottles labelled "BLEACH" did not have detectable bleach content at time of inspection.
      • Corrective Actions: Prepare bleach spray bottle solution to give 100ppm bleach. Ensure availability of sanitizer at all times during food processing. Availability of sanitizer at adequate concentration ensures food contact surfaces, equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized. This can minimize possibility of contamination to food. Staff remade bleach solution to reach 100ppm at time of inspection.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observations: Handwashing sink by 3 compartment sink observed to lack liquid soap at time of inspection.
      • Corrective actions: Refill soap dispenser with liquid soap and ensure availability of liquid soap at all handwashing sinks at all times. Staff refilled liquid soap into dispenser at time of inspection. Adequately equipped handwashing stations ensures staff/employees are performing proper handwashing which can minimize contamination of food.

      • Observation: Observations: Small amount of pest droppings observed underneath shelf by far end of store where dry food storage is located.
      • Corrective actions: Clean and sanitize above mentioned area to ensure no accumulation of pest droppings. Signs of pest and rodent droppings may indicate pest issue which can lead to contamination of food. Increase monitor frequency as needed to prevent accumulation.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): No detectable chlorine or quats sanitizer in two spray bottles labeled "quats."
      • Corrective Action(s): Contents of spray bottles discarded. Bleach water sanitizer prepared at 100 ppm chlorine. Ensure sanitizer is available at the correct concentration for safe and effective sanitizing of food contact surfaces. Resanitize equipment and utensils (e.g. vegetable cutting knife).

      • Observation: Mouse droppings observed in the following areas:
      • - On shelving under stairs.
      • - On shelving located to the right of the three compartment sink (no food storage).
      • - On store floor (corners).
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure the above-noted areas are properly cleaned and disinfected today. Fraser Health bulletin on mice in food establishments to be provided with additional information. The following food items were discarded by staff as a precaution: One open cardboard box of spice under stairs and three packages of Gur (packages torn).
      • Most recent pest control report, dated today, reviewed at time of inspection. Have pest control reservice premises once areas have been properly cleaned and disinfected.

      • Observation: Rodent droppings were found under the stairway in the warehouse area. Pest control services was on-site and indicated no pest issues.
      • Corrective Action(s): Contact pest control and have them return to the facility. All areas affected with rodent droppings must be cleaned and sanitized with a 1:10 bleach solution.

      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure all chemicals are properly labelled to prevent accidental mixing and misuse of chemicals. Chlorine was emptied and bottle and spray nozzle were emptied and refilled with 200ppm to 400ppm Quats sanitizing solution.

      • Corrective Action(s): Do not place severely dented cans on the shelving units. The safety of dented cans cannot be guaranteed. Items were removed from the shelving units. If dented cans are found by staff, they must be removed immediately.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Bleach sanitizer was much greater than 200ppm - resulted in test strip being bleached out.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure bleach sanitizer is maintained at 100ppm to 200ppm to properly sanitize cutting surfaces. Concentrations in excess of 200ppm are not considered food grade. Bleach was diluted to 200ppm at the time of inspection. To prepare 200ppm bleach, add 1 teaspoon bleach (5mL) to 1L water.
