     • Observation: Facility was using filtered city water for their public water fountains. Public water fountain was not turned off during a city boil water notice. Filter has not been approved to be used during a boil water notice, therefore any water that comes from the filter still needs to be brought to a rolling boil for a minimum 1 minute and cooled appropriately before consuming. (Public Health Significance) - Water consumed under a boil water notice could cause harm and could result in waterborne illnesses.
     • Corrective Action: Turn off the water fountain until the boil water notice has been lifted. Clean and sanitize the water fountain lines according to manufacturer's directions after the boil water notice has been lifted. Alternatively provide an alternative source of water for clients use (I.E. bottled water).
