Inspection summary
Greenacres Golf Course has been inspected 16 times by Vancouver Coastal Health since January 19, 2016. The most recent inspection, on July 6, 2026, recorded 2 infractions.
4 of 16 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 2 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Cleaning and sanitizing, Pests and Protecting food from contamination.
The number of infractions per inspection has stayed roughly the same over time.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk
Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.
Recorded 14 times across 8 separate inspections, most recently on June 9, 2025. For example:
The premises and all equipment, utensils, and food contact surfaces are maintained in good condition and used in a manner that ensures safe and sanitary food handling.
PestsHigher risk
Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.
Recorded 7 times across 7 separate inspections, most recently on June 9, 2025. For example:
The premises is free of pests.
Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk
This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.
Recorded 7 times across 6 separate inspections, most recently on March 18, 2019. For example:
Food is handled in a sanitary manner and is not subject to contamination.
Food temperature controlHigher risk
Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.
Recorded 4 times across 4 separate inspections, most recently on July 6, 2026. For example:
Potentially hazardous food is cooled in a manner that makes it safe to eat.
Handwashing and staff hygieneHigher risk
Hands are the main way germs like norovirus move from people to food. Inspectors look for stocked, accessible handwashing sinks, staff washing hands when required, hair restraints, and sick employees being kept away from food. Gaps here can spread illness quickly.
Recorded once on June 9, 2025. For example:
Each employee demonstrates good personal hygiene and washes their hands as often as necessary to prevent the contamination of food.

Nice course if you can hit the ball straight you will score very well

Greenacres Golf Course is an absolute gem and easily one of my favorite places to play in the Lower Mainland. The course is always in fantastic condition, with lush fairways, smooth greens, and just the right amount of challenge to keep things interesting for golfers of all levels. It strikes a great balance between being approachable and offering enough complexity to test your game. What really sets Greenacres apart is the staff — friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. From the clubhouse to the starter, everyone genuinely makes you feel like a valued guest. The pace of play is usually solid, and tee times are well-managed, even during peak hours. The practice facilities are great for warming up, and the course layout offers a nice variety of holes — doglegs, straight shots, water hazards, and scenic views that make every round enjoyable. The clubhouse is clean, modern, and well-stocked, and the food and beverage options hit the spot after a round. Whether you're there for a quick nine or a full 18, it’s always a good time. Highly recommend Greenacres if you’re looking for a well-kept, friendly, and fun course that won’t disappoint. Can’t wait for my next round!

Good place to play golf. Early birds & Twilight only CAD43, Normal CAD60… The OUT course is slightly short and The IN course is somewhat long. The greens are generally small but conditions are good for putting. One thing that is unfortunate is… The reservations are not possible for single players.

Not a great experience. Show up as a twosome with one of us a being a 70yo and finding out we can't get a cart after 4. Fine not the end of the world, it's only two of us so we shouldn't be too slow as we can get push carts. However then we get paired with another couple, one of whom is learning and was only their 4th round of golf ever. Again not the end of the world, happy to slow down and help someone learn this sport. To make matters worse the marshal put our group behind a twosome and in front of a twosome. Why the marshal put our group together I can't understand but, naturally the old guy and learner start making us play slow. We get berated by the same marshal on the 4th hole, then berated by multiple people several holes behind who think it's there duty to police other golfers that they have never met. Argue with the marshals for putting bogus groups together that are obviously going to play slow! Very pretentious place for a public course. Glad I tried it but I think I'll move on.

Had a great round of golf at this course which turned out to be much better than we had hoped for. The course was is great condition, the fairways are pretty wide and open - great for 20+ handicap and beginners. Great combination of par 3,4 (11) and 5 that required us to use all clubs to play. Value for the money as Summer rates go pretty high but $50 for a round of 18 holes here is a decent deal. Cody at the front was a gent and this is definitely our new regular spot
