    • 14. Does the facility have an adequate supply of potable hot and cold running water and is the water sampled at required intervals?
      • Bacteriological water sample results came back present for total coliforms and E.coli. Operator indicated that water is not used for drinking. - ensure water is also not used for dishwashing, preparing foods, and hand washing unless boiled - ensure to shock chlorinate the well and re-sample.- ensure the appropriate signage is available to indicate to the public and staff that water is not safe for consumption

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • No Quats sanitizer was available during the inspection- ensure sanitizer is obtained prior to operation- If you cannot get quats sanitizer in time, ensure you prepare a chlorine sanitizer using 5.25% bleach with no scent or fabric guard (1/2 tsp bleach per 1L of water) to get a concentration of 100ppm.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • The ceiling in the walk-in cooler is composed of raw wood and is chipping - ensure surface is treated with a sealant to provide a smooth, non-porous and easy to clean surface.

    • 14. Does the facility have an adequate supply of potable hot and cold running water and is the water sampled at required intervals?
      • There is also a cistern on site used for drinking water- sample was not submitted for this cistern, client indicated the hauler is from Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation ( FNIHB EHO was contacted) - there are several haulers in Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.Kindly ensure water sample is submitted and adequate contact information for the water hauler is provided.

      • Water in the kitchen is mainly on a well , no sampling history was available on Tableau. Operator was provided with sampling bottles.Ensure water samples are submitted ASAP and benchmark is achieved

      • The walls behind the prep sink at the end of the kitchen is in disrepair.Ensure the wall is repaired or replaced and maintaine in a smooth, easy to clean and non-absorbent condition at all times.
