- 19(2)(b) A food establishment must provide all of the following in accordance with applicable legislation or as considered acceptable by the Administrator:
(b) adequately designed and appropriately located hand-washing facilities;
- Hand wash sink observed blocked by shelving and dishes in the sink compartment. Hand wash sinks must be accessible at all times and not be used for any other purpose except hand washing. Shelves and dishes removed from blocking the hand wash sink at time of inspection.
- 19(2)(b) A food establishment must provide all of the following in accordance with applicable legislation or as considered acceptable by the Administrator:
(b) adequately designed and appropriately located hand-washing facilities;
- No paper towel available to fit in the dispensers at the hand wash sink in the food preparation area and in the staff washroom. Either obtain paper towel that fits the paper towel dispensers or change the dispensers.
- 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done:
(b) insects, rodents and other pests are controlled;
- Rodent droppings observed on the retail shelves where the spices are stored. Shelves were cleaned and sanitized at time of inspection.

- 27(f) A food establishment must develop and demonstrate policies and procedures for personnel that ensure that a person entering a food handling area or engaging in an operation in a food establishment who comes into contact with food meets all of the following:
(f) the person refrains from any behaviour or practice that risks contaminating food.
- Infants are not permitted to be present in food preparation areas.
- 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done:

- 34 An operator must ensure that a food establishment is operated so that all food and food ingredients are processed, manufactured, handled, prepared, packaged, served, sold, offered for sale or distribution free of charge, dispensed, displayed and stored in a manner that prevents contamination and adulteration.
- Bread observed being packaged on the pool table in the staff area. Food handling must not take place in the staff area.
- 34 An operator must ensure that a food establishment is operated so that all food and food ingredients are processed, manufactured, handled, prepared, packaged, served, sold, offered for sale or distribution free of charge, dispensed, displayed and stored in a manner that prevents contamination and adulteration.
- Butter observed being processed in the food establishment for sale at retail. Food establishments are not permitted to process and sell dairy products to other facilities (wholesale) or retail these products from their own food establishment. Retail or wholesaling dairy products is considered processing and would require the food establishment to meet the standards set by the National Dairy Code regarding the process with respect to the environment and equipment. Also, they would require a licence from the Natural Products Marketing Council. Discontinue processing butter and remove from the food establishment.
