- 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
- Facility procedures on how to prepare and care for skin prior to treatments have not been established. No procedure for disinfecting sink and surfaces between handwashing and reprocessing tools.
- 10. Is cleansing and antisepsis of skin and mucous membrane performed in accordance to written procedures and are suitable products being used?
- There was no alcohol onsite for suitable cleansing of skin prior to services. Please acquire 70% alcohol or other antiseptic and include NPN number in the written procedures.
- 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
- Tools had some debris left on their surfaces. Please ensure the following steps are taken for disinfecting tools:- Tools are cleaned thoroughly with a sponge or scrub brush. - Rinse tools and dry them- Soak in Preempt CS20 for 20 mins. CS20 must be poured fresh for every day that it is used. - Remove tools and rinse under water- Dry and store tools in a clean, covered location.
