      • In the kinder room, a bottle of shaving foam labeled “keep out of reach of children” was observed to be stored on a shelving unit accessible to children. Ensure that all items labeled to be kept out of reach of children are stored in a manner that prevents access. The operator relocated the indicated product during the inspection.

      • Several paints that were not age-appropriate for the pre-toddler, toddler, and preschool rooms were observed, with labels indicating use for ages 4 and 5 and up. Ensure that all paints are appropriate for the age group in each room. The operator removed the indicated paints during the inspection.

      • Two water-stained ceiling tiles in the pre-toddler room were observed. Ensure the indicated ceiling tiles are replaced.

      • 1. A buildup of grime was observed on the stepping stool near the handwashing sink in the preschool room. 2. A buildup of grime was observed in the cabinet beneath the handwashing sink in the preschool room.1-2. Ensure the indicated areas are cleaned and sanitized.

      • Upon inquiry, the operator stated that toys in the sand table are cleaned and disinfected on a weekly basis. Ensure that all toys in the sand table are cleaned and disinfected daily. The operator revised the toy cleaning schedule during the inspection.

      • The faucet on the diapering sink in the infant room and the faucet in the pretoddler room were observed to be loose. Ensure faucets are maintained in good repair. The operator fastened the indicated faucets during inspection.

      • The toilet furthest from the entrance in the preschool washroom was observed to be in disrepair. Ensure the indicated toilet is repaired.

      • Staff personal items such as hair ties and lipstick were observed to be stored in a basket with the bleach and all-purpose cleaners. Ensure personal items are stored separately from chemicals to help prevent cross contamination. The operator relocated the personal items during inspection.

      • Chemicals were stored in lower cabinet (accessible to children) in Kinder room. It was addressed during the inspection.

      • An educator was observed cutting fruit in the Infant room, and children were present in the room. Please ensure that all food preparation is taken place in the approved kitchen space.

      • 1. A toys storage bin was broken and had sharp edges in the Pretoddler room. It was removed during the inspection. Please ensure that all toys and equipment are in good repair.2. Some art supplies observed in the Prekinder room (children 4 y.o. and up) were labelled to be used by children over 5. It was addressed during the inspection.

      • 1. Sink cabinet was water damaged and/or mouldy in the Toddler room. Please remove all water-damaged materials and replace with new materials. 2. Mildew was observed on the counter behind the sink faucet in the Preschool room. Please repair.

      • A diapering mat was damaged and could not be properly cleaned and disinfected in the Preschool room. Please replace.

      • No hot water was available in the Kinder room sink - hot water temperature was measured to be 20.2C. Please ensure that adequate supply of hot and cold water is provided.
    • 30. Are workers washing hands when appropriate and/or in a proper manner?
      • Hand sanitizer observed in Kinder room expired in November 2023. It was removed during the inspection.
