      • The facility did not have a janitorial sink. The janitorial bucket was emptied into the floor drain in front of the three-compartment sink.Provide a janitorial sink.

      • Lighting was insufficient in the area where spare equipment was previously stored.Provide adequate lighting.

    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Mouse droppings were observed on spare equipment and the floor of the equipment storage area.Remove mouse droppings safely and disinfect contaminated areas. Clean and sanitize all equipment in this area and seal all possible pest entry points.

      • Lighting was insufficient in the equipment storage area.Provide adequate lighting.

      • There was food debris on hard-to-reach areas of the food slicer.Disassemble equipment. Clean and sanitize all parts thoroughly.

      • Tim Hortons warehouse - There was a hole in the side wall of the exterior of the walk-in cooler.Seal the hole in the wall.

    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • 1) Domestic terminal warehouse (Burger King) - There was a large number of dead moths on the floor by the walk-in cooler.2) Starbucks warehouse - There were flies around the janitorial sink. There was a gap on the bottom perimeter of the walk-through door.Remove pests and their breeding grounds.Seal the gap along the bottom perimeter of the door.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Many ceiling tiles above the dishwashing area were rusted and no longer in a state that promoted easy cleaning. Please replace.This concern was noted in a previous inspection at the commissary, which was not inspected today. Will follow up next time.

      • 1) Starbucks warehouse - There was bare wood on the shelving unit with cartons of eggnog.Conceal unfinished wood. Surfaces must be smooth, non-absorbent to moisture and easy to clean.2) Tim Hortons warehouse - There was a hole in the side wall of the walk-in cooler.Seal the hole in the wall.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • Tim Hortons warehouse - Ice was on the floor of the walk-in freezer. Repair the cooler condenser to stop the leak and remove ice from the floor.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • 1) There was an accumulation of grime and food debris on the 2 comp dishwash sinks backsplash. Please clean.2) There was an accumulation of grime on some floor tiles and along baseboards throughout the prep area. Please conduct thorough cleaning.These concerns were noted in a previous inspection of the commissary, which was not inspected today. Will follow up next time.

      • Main warehouse - An accumulation of debris/ items such as bottles and a toothbrush was found against the wall under shelving. Clean the floor including hard to reach areas.
