      • Current: The facility is using a loblaws style pest control template. PHI has requested document for review. Previous: October 7, 2025: Unable to obtain pest control records at the time of inspection. Previous: March 4, 2025- There are no consistent records of pest control monitoring. The operator has been provided with AHS Pest Control Monitoring templates and is required to complete them monthly. PREVIOUS: Pest control records were not available upon request. Please ensure that you have your facility pest control records ready at all times. October 3, 2024Please ensure that you complete the AHS pest control checklist as promised.

      • Current: The operator mentioned that a new door has been ordered and in the meantime threshold strips have been placed to minimize the gap to prevent pest infiltration. October 7, 2025: At the rear section of the grocery store, there is a kitchen area featuring a rear entrance door. A visible gap exists at the threshold of this door, posing an elevated risk of pest intrusion. Previous: In the kitchen, the exterior door weather stripping (e.g. door sweep/door bottom seal) is inadequate. There is currently a gap creating a potential entry point for pest. Please ensure the weatherstripping is replaced to eliminate entry points for pests.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • Current: The Coca-Cola machine handle is still in disrepair. The operator mentioned that they will order a new handle immediately. Previous: The Coca-Cola machine handle is in a state of disrepair. It is currently heavily duct taped, which does not provide a smooth, durable, non-absorbent and easy to clean surface. Please ensure that the handle is repaired, or the Coca-Cola refrigeration unit is replaced to allow for proper cleaning and disinfection of a high touch point surface.

      • - An observation was made of a staff member cutting produce while simultaneously using a cell phone during preparation, thereby increasing the risk of contamination. The staff were notified, and the behaviour was promptly corrected.

      • The floor tiles in the meat processing area were removed. Operator stated that they will replace the tiles once they install a new 3-compartment sink which they are waiting on the supplier to deliver to them.

      • i) Cartoons of food in cold rooms were sitting on the floorOperator stated that their cold rooms are undergoing maintenance process and that some foods will be moved to the newly constructed cold room in few days.

      • Facility was not following proper dish washing procedure. Education and dishwashing resources were provided to them.
