    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • -Several stained ceiling tiles were observed throughout the facility. Please treat the water stains or replace the affected tiles.-There is damage and peeling paint on the wall area behind the sink faucet in both washrooms. Please repair and repaint these areas.-The caulking attached to the wall area behind the sink faucets in both washrooms is damaged/worn, revealing gaps. Please reseal these areas.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Two plush sofas with non-removable covers were noted in Room 144. Discussed appropriate sanitizing methods. The sofas are sprayed with a sanitizer solution. This method is not effective for sanitizing fabric items. Please remove plush items or cover them with an easily cleanable material if they cannot be properly washed and sanitized. The sofas appeared clean. Education was provided.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Toy washing procedures were discussed. Small toys are currently not being washed; they are only sprayed with a bleach sanitizer solution.This is not an effective way of cleaning and disinfecting small toys. Please follow these steps for toy washing:1. Wash with a detergent and warm water.2. Rinse detergent away with clean, warm water.3. Wipe, spray, or soak in a sink for two minutes using a bleach sanitizer solution. Ensure bleach sanitizer solution is at 100 ppm using chlorine test strips.4. After the sanitizing step, let the surface or item air dry.Education was provided. Toy washing will be completed using one compartment of the kitchen sink for washing and rinsing, and a large container for soaking in a sanitizer solution. **Please ensure the sink compartment is sanitized prior to and after use**
