- 302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
- Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Scoops for the hard serve ice cream were observed being held in water at room temperatures. Staff noted these are rinsed and placed in here. This is not one of the approved methods for in use utensils. This can pose a risk for cross contamination and pathogens growth.
- Corrective Action(s): Corrected During Inspection (CDI): Staff immediately removed and placed in back 3 compartment sink to be washed and sanitized. Operator was told to either have a scoop for each flavour kept in the freezer with cleaning and sanitizing at end of day for the scoops. Other option is to install a dipper well.
