    • 05. Are communicable diseases at this facility being properly managed?
      • 1) Discussed with facility staff to dedicate an area for sick children. Make sure to choose a supervised area to separate a child that is ill from the rest of the children. The space must be: -Separate from any food area.-Large enough for a bed/mat-Well-ventilated and heated-Easy to clean and sanitize.2) Discussed the outbreak policy with operator.Facility needs to design their illness policy and incident logs.(Please refer to Health and Safety guide for operators of childcare facilities)
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1)Facility was using bleach as surface disinfectant for diapering change table.However the test strips were not present to measure the concentration.Make sure to obtain the required test strips to verify the chlorine concentration.2) A rip was observed on the changing pad exposing the inner lining.Make sure to replace/repair the changing pad.
