     • The Velva Choco and Butter Cookies products were found to be improperly labelled. The preparation procedures for these products were reviewed, and no concerns were identified with the manufacturing process. However, these products are considered high-risk and must be maintained under refrigeration (temperature control) unless laboratory testing demonstrates that they are shelf stable.Based on the ingredients and preparation methods reviewed, the inspector advised that these products are unlikely to meet shelf-stability requirements. As such, they must remain refrigerated at all times.To ensure consumer safety and provide clear guidance to retailers, these products must be properly labelled to indicate their storage requirements. The product labels should include a clear statement such as “Keep Refrigerated” or other equivalent storage instructions.The inspector also informed the operator that the food labels must clearly identify the source of the product, including the restaurant or company name, contact information, and the manufacturer's location, to ensure appropriate traceability and facilitate food tracking if required. In addition, the inspector advised the operator to contact the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to obtain guidance on all applicable labelling requirements and to ensure that the products comply with current regulatory standards.
