      • Multiple flooring tiles are cracked or missing in the kitchen area.Ensure that these tiles are replaced and that the floor is smooth, non-absorbent and easily cleanable.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • The large chest freezer located in the back storage area is now missing its lid door's seal and the inside of the lid has been damaged to expose the insulation. The door is no longer able to make a proper seal with the freezer unit and the exposed insulation is not cleanable and may pose a contamination risk.Ensure that the freezer lid is repaired or replaced to allow for adequate temperature control and allow for appropriate cleaning.The freezer unit was maintaining an appropriate temperature at the time of the inspectoin.

      • A round coffee cup was observed in use as a scoop in the coffee ground container.Corrected during inspection:- The round coffee cup was removed from the coffee grounds and was discardedEducation provided:- All scoops must be composed of a non-porous, easily cleanable, shatter resistant material (Non-ceramic, non-glass), and must be equipped with a handle that differentiates the food contact area of the utensil from the handling area.

      • The chlorine sanitizer test strips currently available expired in 2018.After expiring, the efficacy of the test can no longer be guaranteed.Ensure that new test strips are purchased for the facility's chosen approved sanitizer, and that they are replaced by their expiry date.
