- Observation: Debris can be seen on inner surface of ice machine. Debris may allow for pathogen growth increasing risk of contamination.
- Corrective Action: Operator to re- clean ice machine.
- 307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
- Observation: Cutting board surfaces are damaged with deep groves that would are difficult to cleaning and sanitizing. Surfaces should be smooth and easily cleanable for proper sanitation to limit pathogen growth.
- Corrective Action: Refinish surfaces to provide a durable easy to clean surface.
- 311 - Repeat Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
- Observation: Floor tiles cracking with further degradation expected. Tight, durable surfaces are required throughout a food establishment to facilitate proper cleaning minimize pest attractants and eliminate food contamination concerns.
- Corrective Action: Repair or replace floor in upcoming renovation plans.

- Observation: Scoops were seen left inside the ingredient bins. Improper scoops and scoop storage exposes items to bare hand contact and potential contamination.
- Corrective Action: Store scoops so that foods are not exposed to the handles or bare hand contact. Store food scoops in a sanitary manner and clean and sanitize them regularly.
- 309 - Chemicals, cleansers, & similar agents stored or labeled improperly [s. 27]
- Observation: A spray bottle with degreaser was seen placed next to the handwashing sink without a label. Unlabelled spray bottles may lead to misuse of the chemical, cross contaminate and may lead to ineffective cleaning and sanitation of the food contact surfaces.
- Corrective Action: The operator to ensure all chemicals (spray bottles) used in the premises are appropriately labelled to identify the contents.
- 311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
- Observation: Kitchen floor is worn out with debris build-up. Tight, durable surfaces are required throughout a food establishment to facilitate proper cleaning minimize pest attractants and eliminate food contamination concerns.
- Corrective Action: Operator plans on replacing the floor tiles by May 2024.
